REV. G. ORLANDO WANGBERG, Winterset

Services for the Rev. G. Orlando Wangberg, 75, Winterset, who died July 18, 1984 at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, were held Saturday morning at the St. Paul Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Military graveside services were held at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born at Kirkman, Iowa, he was the son of J. O. and Hilda Norby Wangberg. He was a retired pastor, an army veteran of World War II, and a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

On July 1, 1934, he was married to A. Patricia Egtvedt at Roseau,Minn. He had lived in Winterset for 11 years, coming here from Mineola.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Arthur of Wilmer, Minn., David of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Phillip of Omaha, and Norman of Dubuque; a daughter, Helen Paul of Blaine, Minn.; sisters, Martha Wangberg and Judith King, both of Council Bluffs; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
