Mamie Haynes, Indianola

Mamie Evelyn Haynes, 75, of Indianola, died of a heart attack March 26, 1996 at Huachuca City, Ariz. Funeral services were March 31 at the St. Charles Parish Church. The Rev. Ed Poston officiated the services and burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

She was born in Pringle, S.D. on June 28, 1920 to Milton and Mary (Stewart) Hight. She married Bernal Lawrence Haynes on Nov. 16, 1941 in St. Charles. She was an office manager for Freeberg & Lane Insurance Agency in St. Charles for 22 years. She was a member of the St. Charles Parish Church and had taught Sunday school and choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister; and one brother.

Surviving relatives include one son, Larry Haynes and wife Linda of Indianola; one daughter, Patricia McDonald and husband Jerry of St. Charles; one sister, Ella Burg of Hot Springs, S.D.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Charles Parish adult or youth choir.
