Willie Mary Jane Watts, 89, died February 13, 1993 at Woodbury West Care Center in West Des Moines. Graveside services were held Fri., Feb. 19 at Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating.

Mrs. Watts was born in Rosedale, Miss. on March 16, 1903, to John and Janie (Thompson) Watts. She married Willie Copper in 1925 in Chicago, Ill. She moved to Iowa in 1979 and had worked as a self-employed domestic worker. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Chicago.

Surviving relatives include three nephews, Edward Gray of Norwalk, Kenneth Gray of Denver, Co., and Vievalley Beaver, Chicago, Ill.; one niece, Lena Stewart, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and one cousin, Ruby Bracey, Chicago, Ill.
