BERT HARRISON DIES AT 88 YEARS

Life-Time Resident Died Sunday at Home in Winterset

James "Bert" Harrison, a life-time resident of Madison county, died at his home in Winterset Sunday, Jan. 7. He was 88 years of age.

Mr. Harrison was born in Webster township on Sept. 13, 1873, a son of John and Mary Paxton Harrison. His active life was spent in farming.

He was married Sept. 11, 1892 to Viola R. Clement. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, Henry E. Harrison of Winterset, five daughters, Mrs. Susie Binns of Winterset, Mrs. Isadora Mabbitt of Jefferson City, Mo., Mrs. Daisy Mapes of Coolidge, Ariz., Mrs. Rosey Davis of Earlham, and Mrs. Lillian Pettit of Creston. He also leaves 26 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Anderson-Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert Damon. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
