Edith Harrison, Winterset

A funeral service was held Saturday, June 26, at the First Baptist Church in Winterset for Edith Harrison of Winterset, who died June 23 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. She was 91 years old.

Born in Madison county on April 1, 1881, she was the daughter of Charles and Florence Mapes Harrison. She lived most of her life in Adair and Madison counties.

Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers, Archie, George and Ray. Survivors include five sisters, Flossie Davis of Stuart; Fern Plymesser of Greenfield; Helen Johnston of Independence; Ivo Lane of Orient; and Lela Herrick of Winterset.

Rev. Phill Hall officiated at the funeral service. Burial was in Winterset Cemetery.
