Jack Harrell, Osceola

Funeral services for Jack Harrell, 44, formerly of Winterset, were held March 2 at Collins Funeral Home, Winterset, with the Rev. Clifford Haider officiating. Harrell died Wed., Feb. 27 at his residence in Osceola.

A lifetime Winterset resident, he moved to Osceola several months ago. The son of Delbert and Inez (Libby) Harrell, (Cecil) Jack Harrell was born July 19, 1946 in Madison County. He married Jo Ellen McFarland October 4, 1946 in Madison County. Harrell was a construction worker, employed by Nelson Development Corporation and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Among survivors are his mother of Afton; his wife, Jo Ellen Harrell of St. Joseph, Mo.; three daughters, Melissa Harrell of Van Meter; Jennifer Harrell and Amanda Harrell, both of St. Joseph, Mo.; two brothers, Dale Harrell of Des Moines and Albert Harrell of Joshua, Tex.; and two sisters, Ruby Jacobs and Donna Cheers, both of Afton.

Military graveside services were held at Winterset by V.F.W. Post 8142, Winterset. Memorials may be made to the family.
