KATHLEEN G. MULLAHEY

Kathleen Grace Mullahey, 60, of Beaverdale, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 17, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Irish Settlement Cemetery near Cumming.

Kathleen was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy. She worked as an accountant and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She volunteered at Holy Trinity School, was a past member of St. Anthony’s Alter and Rosary Society, and a 100% Irish past president of the Society of Italian Americans Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, travel, Chicago Cubs baseball and bowling with the Sunday Odd Couples.

Kathleen is survived by her three children, Don Towers of Marengo, Kathleen (Frank) Comito of Des Moines and Thomas (Jodi) Anania of Indianola; three sisters, Mary Edna Pendergrass of Durham, NC, Patricia Powers of Alexandria, VA and Ann (Larry) Schulter of Prior Lake, MN; brother, Joseph A. (Barbara) Mullahey of West Des Moines; and fifteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elma Mullahey and her brother, Gerald Mullahey.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 16, at Dunn’s Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be held at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Holy Trinity Catholic School.

Note: Kathleen's mother's name should be Elna, not Elma.
