CHARLES F. JOHNSON

Charles F. Johnson, 63, died Monday, December 26, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines, with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, rural Cumming. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with Rosary Service at 7 p.m. at McLaren’s Chapel.

Mr. Johnson was born on September 5, 1942 in Des Moines, the son of George Clarence and Grace Cecilia (Spain) Johnson. He attended Sacred Heart School and was a restaurant cook. Charles was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Miraculous Medal Association.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary C. Laurie of Norwalk, Bette A. Johnson of Granger; one brother, George A. Johnson of Norwalk; four nephews, John, Tony, Jim and Danny Laurie; two great-nieces and three great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Frank Laurie.
