Hazel I. Harden, Creston

Services for Hazel I. Harden, 82, Creston, who died Monday, Nov. 30, at the Greater Community Hospital at Creston, were held Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 10:30 a.m. at the Greenfield United Methodist Church. Burial was at the Greenfield Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on April 18, 1905, she was the daughter of Edward and Julia Low Platt. She was married April 18, 1928 in Madison County to Nile Q. Harden. He preceded her in death in 1983.

She was a member of Church Circle No. 4 of the United Methodist Women and the Creston Women's Club. She lived most of her life in Madison and Adair counties until moving to Creston in 1985.

Survivors include a son, Gerald L. of Creston; a sister, Mrs. Maxine and husband Kenneth Hoepker of Orient.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials can be mae to the Methodist church.
