Page 4Services Monday For Lela Harbit
Lela Foster Vanderwater Harbit of Lincoln, Mo., died Monday, May 6 at Lincoln at the age of 69. She had lived in the Winterset area until about 11 years ago.
Born on March 10, 1911, near Clinton, Mo., she was the daughter of William and Anna Pettit Foster. She was united in marriage to Corvan Vanderwater on Aug. 18, 1931, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1960. She was married to Clarence Harbit on Dec. 11, 1965, and he survives her.
Also surviving are twin daughters, Mae Rinard of Winterset and Faye Lemon of Lincoln, Mo.; two stepsons from her second marriage, Carl Harbit of Cole Camp, Mo., and Eldon Harbit of Windsor, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Faler.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, at the Greenfield Funeral Home with Rev. F. A. Garder officiating. Burial will be at the Hebron Cemetery in Adair County. A dinner will be held at the V.F.W. Hall in Winterset at 4 p.m. Monday.
