Colleen Rose Hall of Des Moines, a native of Madison County, died Tuesday, December 4, at her home at the age of 53. Funeral services were held at Hamilton's Funeral home in Des Moines with Rev. John Zimmer of Grace Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
Born on April 25, 1926 in Madison County, she was the daughter of Ernie and Edith Youmans. she grew up on a farm near Truro and graduated with the class of 1944 from Truro Consolidated Schools. On February 14, 1947 she was united in marriage with Russell Vernon Hall at the Little Brown Church near Nashua. They lived in Des Moines 33 years where Mrs. Hall was employed as an accountant for Harrison House, Inc. until her retirement last March. Her husband preceded her in death earlier this year.
Surviving are her three children, Mrs. Theresa Young, Jim Hall and Mrs. Beverly Steele; six grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Edith Youmans of Truro; a brother, Gene Youmans of Truro; and three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Armstrong of Truro, Mrs. Geraldine Johnson of Des Moines and Mrs. Dorothy Brooks of St. Charles. She was preceded in death by her father.
