HOMER D. WEEKS, Texas

Homer D. Weeks, 70, of Beaumont, Texas, formerly of Winterset, died from cancer Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola with the Rev. Dennis Reynolds officiating.

Homer Weeks was born in Indianola to Oscar and Maud (Sones) Barger. He previously lived in Winterset and at the time of his passing had resided in Beaumont for 12 years. He had previously worked at Solar Aircraft in Des Moines as a production worker and retired as a custodian for Cathedral in the Pines Christian School in Beaumont.

Survivors are his wife, Gloria Weeks of Beaumont; two daughters, Linda Weeks and Sheryl Stabe, both of Missouri City, Texas; his mother, Esther Weeks of Indianola; a brother Edward Weeks of Wapello, Iowa; three sisters, Helen Spurling and Shirley Kolsto, both of Indianola, and Phyllis Nutt of California; and two grandchildren.
