GILLIAM RITES HELD MONDAY AT TRURO

Funeral services were held Monday from the Kale Funeral home at Truro for W. O. Gilliam, whose death had occurred April 16 at his farm home near Peru. The Rev. Millard Marshall conducted the services.

Burial was made in the Hartman Cemetery near Truro.

Mr. Gilliam was 86 years of age at his death. He was a native of Council Bluffs, where he was born Oct. 16, 1876, a son of Alexander and Mandy Darrell Gilliam. Most of his life was spent in farming in the Peru community.

He was a veteran of the Spanish American war.

He was a member of the Peru Methodist church.

Mr. Gilliam was married in 1904 to Anna Hogg, who survives him. Also surviving is Cleve Hogg, reared in his home, who is now in military service.
