BEN M. FREDERICK

Ben M. Frederick, 65, of 411 S.E. Pleasantview Drive, died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Winterset Cemetery in Winterset.

Mr. Frederick was born in Winterset, where he lived before moving to Des Moines in 1956. He retired in 1978 as a mechanic for Armstrong Rubber co. He was a member of American Legion Post 184 in Winterset and VFW Beaverdale Post 9127, and he was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Nona; a son, Jerry B. of Des Moines; a daughter, Nancy L. Graber of Buffalo, N.Y.; his mother, Flo Frederick of Des Moines; two brothers, Victor of Florissant, Mo., and Francis of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Rose Mary Coulson of Des Moines; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
