Patrick Fredde, 77, of Rogers, Ark., died Aug. 23, 1998 in Ashland, Ky.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28 at the First Baptist Church in Rogers. Burial will follow at the V.A. National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. The family requests no flowers.

Patrick Fredde was born March 12, 1921 in Omaha, Nebr., to Emil and Hope (Sullivan) Fredde. He and his wife Kleta were married Feb. 18, 1943 in Plainview, Texas. He received a B.A. from National College in Kansas City, Mo., in 1961 and a masters in speech from the University of South Dakota in 1969. He was a teacher of speech and drama for 21 years at Winterset High School, where he retired in 1983. He also pastored Baptist churches in Lorimor and Macksburg for 10 years. Patrick served with the 8th Air Force in England in World War II and with the 2nd Armored Division in the Korean conflict. He has lived in the Rogers area since 1987, where he was an active member of the First Baptist Church and Northwest Arkansas Woodcarvers Association, both in Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Sandi Stromberg of Houston, Texas, Alica Thomas of Berlin, N.Y., and Kari Queen of Ashland, Ky.; and eight grandchildren.
