Wilma Foley, Peru

Wilma Eugenia Young was born October 30, 1901, the daughter of Thornton and Martha Harland Young, on a farm 2 miles east of Winterset. She was one of 12 children. She died at her home in Peru January 14, 1987, at the age of 85 years.

Wilma attended school at Tileville, Patterson and Stony Point.

On February 24, 1919, she married Roy Maxwell Foley of Osceola, Iowa.

Wilma was a member of Patterson Methodist Church.

The year of 1931 brought them to East Peru. They formerly had lived in New Virginia, Barney and Renwick.

In August 1953, Wilma became a widow and remained in her own home until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; three sisters, six brothers, and a great grandson.
