FORMER RESIDENT DIES AT RENWICK

Mrs. Alta H. Foley, formerly of Madison county, died April 27 at Renwick, where she had lived in recent years. She was 89 years of age.

Mrs. Foley was the former Alta Howland. She was born at Garner on June 22, 1871. She moved from the Winterset area in 1947.

She was united in marriage to Stewart Foley, Dec. 19, 1886. Mr. Foley died in 1951.

She leaves three sons, Earle Foley of Des Moines, Will Foley of Indianola, and Floyd Foley of Jonesburg, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Myers of Pocahontas, Mrs. Maynard Harper, Sr., of Truro and Mrs. Hattie Zentner and Besse Foley of Renwick. She also leaves 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held April 29 from Methodist church at Renwick, with burial in Vernon Cemetery there.
