August 14, 1985Services for Mrs. Bessie Flinn, 82, Perry, who died Aug. 11 at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center of cardiac arrest, were held Wednesday, Aug. 14 at the Adel United Methodist Church with burial at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.
Mrs. Flinn resided at the Perry Lutheran Home and had lived in Perry for three years. She was born at Linden, Iowa, but also lived in Adel, Greenfield, Macksburg, Earlham and Winterset.
She was born Dec. 22, 1902, the daughter of William and Matie Keltner. She was married to Raymond Flinn on April 13, 1923. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church at Perry, a charter member of the Adel United Methodist Women and a member of the Rebekah lodges at Adel, Macksburg and Earlham.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Alfred and Helen of Dallas Center, Walter and Rita of Adel, Irene Wilcox of Madrid, Pauline and Ed Gubser of Norfolk, Neb., Marcella and Lou Emery of Parma, Ida., Alice and Russ Hoffman of Perry and Helen and Bart Kerr of Greenfield; brothers, Ralph Keltner of Winterset and Clarence Keltner of Mesa, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, brother and two grandsons.
