Madisonian Employee Over 30 Years Dies on West Coast
Guy A. Wilkinson of San Diego, Calif., member of a well-known Winterset family died Wednesday, March 20, at San Diego. He was 77 years of age.
Mr. Wilkinson was a printer and linotype operator by trade. He was employed on the Winterset Madisonian for about 30 years.
He was born in Winterset Aug. 19, 1891, a son of William and Tina Thronburg Wilkinson. He was married in 1920 to Emily Thayer. Her death occurred in 1946. Shortly after that he moved to California to be near his children.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Wilkinson of Downey, Calif., John Wilkinson of San Diego, Calif., and Willard Wilkinson of San Diego; and three daughters, Bonnie of San Diego, Mrs. C. E. Sellers of Santee, Calif, and Mrs. M. Nunn of Lemon Grove, Calif.
Funeral services were held Friday at San Diego, with burial in Mt. Hope cemetery there.
