Death of Arthur Bond

DeSoto, Ia., March 30, 1931 - Special

Arthur Bond, who has been ill for many months, died at 11 o’clock Friday. As his ailment was of a baffling nature an autopsy was held in the hope of learning more of the malady.

His home was in the Fairview neighborhood since his boyhood until last December when he and his family moved to DeSoto, having purchased the oil station at the Riley corner northwest of town at the junction of roads No. 169 and 132.

Funeral services were held at the Fairview church Monday afternoon, conducted by a former pastor, Rev. W. W. Watson, assisted by the local minister, Rev. James Owen Smith.
