Lowell C. Farr, Winterset

Services for Lowell C. Farr, 60, who died Feb. 1 in Las Vegas, Nev., were held Friday, Feb. 5 at the First Christian Church in Winterset with the Rev. Doris Kinton of Mt. Ayr and the Rev.Dave Tyree of Chariton officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.

Born at Murray on Sept. 2, 1927, he was the son of Eldon and Myrl Hoffman Farr. He was a businessman and operated a car wash and garden center on West Summit Street. He had been working recently in Las Vegas, Nev.

He had lived here for 39 years, coming from Murray. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Madison County Sportsman's Club.

Survivors include his wife and mother; daughters, Peggy (Mrs. Frank) Shutt of Winterset, and Teena (Mrs. Walter) Wearmouth of Chariton; a sister, Lola Gorman of Miami, Okla; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.
