Funeral services for Michell C. Eslinger, 34, were held Wed. February 26,at 11 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Turner officiating. Mrs. Eslinger died February 22 of smoke inhalation from a fire at her residence. A joint service is being held with her husband who died at the same time.
Mrs. Eslinger was born in Walla Walla, Wash. on July 9, 1957 to Wayne R. and Irene (Bass) Batdorf and married Ernest L. Eslinger August 24, 1990 in Indianola. She was a lab technician for National By-Products. She moved to Winterset four years ago, coming from Des Moines.
Survivors include her mother of Rapid City. S.D.; a daughter, Tisa Little of Des Moines; a brother, David Batdorf of Rapid City, S.D.; two sister, Karen Sandretzky and Gale Hausenbuiller, both of Kent, Wash.; and her grandmother, Florence Covella of Sumner, Wash.
Burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
