Donald Duff Death Reported

Donald C. Duff, son of Calvin and Cora Marshall Duff, was born January 10, 1916, in Adair County, Iowa and died Monday, Oct. 23, 1978 at the hospital in Audubon, Iowa. He was 62 years old.

Mr. Duff attended Adair County schools and was baptized in the Winterset Church of Christ. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and on May 27, 1939, he was married to Isabel Lattig at Winterset.

Mr. Duff farmed in Madison County and operated a locker plant in Creston. He raised purebred cattle and later operated a locker plant in Creston. He raised purebred cattle and later operated a locker plant in Exira.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters in infancy, a third sister, Belle Dickey and two brothers, Jim and Leland Duff.

Survivors include his wife, Isabel and children, Laura Ellen Fusselman of York, Neb., Royce Dean Duff of Warrenburg, Ill., Donna Marie Duff of York, Neb. and Glenn Calvin Duff of Exira; also seven grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Duff of Peru, and Jack Duff of Winterset and three sisters Hattie Fuller of Des Moines, Ellowene Cannon of Mt. Ayr and Leone Farwell of Winterset.

Rev. John Ackerman officiated at the funeral service for Mr. Duff, conducted Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. from the United Methodist Church of Macksburg. Burial was made at the Moon Cemetery.
