Services for Harold S. Dickinson, 74, rural St. Charles, who died Oct. 15, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines, were held Monday Oct. 19 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry J. Bevel officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Jefferson County on April 21, 1913, he was the son of LeRoy and Elizabeth Lape Dickinson. On Nov. 7, 1944, he was married to Gerraldine Morgan in Lubbock, Texas.
Mr. Dickinson was a farmer. He was Air Force veteran of World War II and was a member of the VFW post in Winterset.
Survivors include his wife, sons, Elvin of Prole, Richard of St. Charles and Billy of Beaumont, Texas; half-brothers, Lester of Houston, Texas and Kenneth of Kansas; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
