Ruth Davis, Lorimor

Ruth Davis, 81, of Lorimor, died April 14, 1995 of a heart ailment at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were April 17 at the Lorimor United Methodist Church in Lorimor. The Rev. Bob Epperson officiated the services and burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.

She was born in Madison County on Dec. 5, 1913 to Perry and Edna (Haynes) Landers. She married Dale C. Davis on Dec. 11, 1930 in Winterset. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of the county. She had been a 4-H leader for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and two brothers.

Surviving relatives include one son, Gary Davis of Lorimor; two daughters, Ann Kirk and husband Ronald of Lorimor, and Sherry Corkrean and husband Tim of Lake City; one brother, Kenneth Landers of Osceola; three sisters, Doris Baker and Mary Dalton, both of Afton, and Faye Wolfe of Osceola; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lorimor United Methodist Church.
