Raymond LaVerne Darnell, 71, died June 13, 1999 in Whittier, Calif.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 17 at Rose Hill Mortuary in Whittier.
Raymond Darnell was born March 16, 1928 to Ernest Otto and Inez Alice (Little) Darnall of Winterset. He was a 1948 graduate of Winterset High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy S. (Thorn) Darnell, formerly of Indianola; a son, Craig Darnell; and three brothers, Robert Darnell of Phoenix, Ariz., Ronald Darnell of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Doyle Darnell of Humboldt.
