Donald Corning, Shannon City

Graveside services for Donald Corning, 71, Shannon City, who died May 28 at Rosary Hospital, Corning, were held Friday, May 31, at the Blair Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating.

Mr. Corning was born May 3, 1914 at Hampton, the son of Stanley and Jose Canfield Corning. He was a construction worker and had retired in 1975. He had lived in Wick for 25 years and the last six years at Shannon City.

On Dec. 16, 1965, he was married to Sharon Hurd at Miami, Okla.

Survivors include sons, Donald of Hartford, Robert of Anoka, Minn., Charles of Sheridan, Wyo., and David of North Folk, Va.; daughters, Barb Mullins of Peru, Linda Hutchinson of Truro and Alice Bussanmas of Bevington; sisters, Alice Huston of Omaha, and Helen Brown of Des Moines; a half-sister, Pat Bush of Spooner, Wis.; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
