December 1996Geraldine McDonald, 83, of Winterset, died of a heart ailment Dec. 19, 1996 at the Community Care Center in Winterset. Funeral services were Dec. 23, at the Worthington Church in Madison County. Pastor Alberta Ervin officiated the services and burial was at the McDonald-Chase Cemetery in Madison County.
She was born in Madison County on July 31, 1913 to Thurman and Louise Mae (Butler) Clark. She married Cyrus Burt McDonald on June 1, 1933 in Winterset. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Madison County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers.
Surviving relatives include four sons, Cyrus McDonald and wife Jean of Earlham, Frank McDonald and wife Mary Margaret of Ivins, Utah, Dennis McDonald of Omaha, Nebr., and Clark Joseph McDonald of Des Moines; three daughters, Teressa Mae Casson and husband Richard of Winterset, Delplha Delores Trindle and husband Barry of Earlham, and Nancy Grace McDonald of Vancouver, British Columbia; one sister, Grace Louise Orcutt of Story City; two brothers, Charles B. Clark of Adel, and David T. Clark of Winterset; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
