SERVICE HELD FOR LORAINE COLLINS

Funeral services were held last Wednesday from the Westover Funeral home in West Des Moines for Mrs. Clyde Collins of Des Moines, who was fatally injured the preceding Friday in a car crash near Robinson, Ill. Burial was made in Chapel Hill gardens.

Mrs. Collins was the former Loraine Drake of Winterset. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Drake of Douglas township. She graduated from Winterset high school and was married in 1937 to Clyde Collins of Van Meter. Since her marriage her home had been in Des Moines, where she was employed at the Younkers store in Merle Hay Plaza.

She was a member of the Urbandale community Congregational church, transferring her membership from the Early Chapel church south of Earlham.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Sondag of Des Moines and Judy Kay Collins at home; a sister, Mrs. Hayward Taylor of Arkansas City, Kan.; and a brother, Claude F. Drake of Des Moines.

Mr. Collins, who was seriously injured in the wreck in Illinois, was flown to Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines, where his condition is reported as good.
