Ann Collins, 66, of Winterset, died Oct. 30, 1994 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Nov. 1, at the First Baptist Church in Winterset. The Rev. John Shaull officated with burial at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 5, 1928 in Tingley to James Avery and Agnes May (Reynolds) Johnston. She married Merland Wayne "Rip" Collins on June 25, 1947 in Des Moines. She was a resident of Winterset for the past 55 years and a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; four brothers; and three sisters.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Steve Collins of Winterset and Michael Collins of Des Moines; two brothers, Duane Johnston of Council Bluffs and Delbert Johnston of Winterset; two sisters, Lucy Clark of Winterset and Sharon Clyde of Winterset; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.
