ESTHER CLARK OF WINTERSET DIES

Stricken Suddenly Friday Death Followed at Hospital

Mrs. Esther Clark, a life-long resident of this community, died last Friday, Feb. 12, at Memorial hospital following a heart attack. Had she l ived two more days she would have been 62 years of age.

Mrs. Clark was the former Esther Alexander, daughter of Banks and Electa Bertholf Alexander. She was born in Madison county Feb. 14, 1898.

She was married at Indianola on March 3, 1928, to Alvin R. Clark of this community. They were parents of one daughter, Shirley Ann, who survives her mother. Mr. Clark preceded her in death in 1951.

In addition to her daughter, she leaves a brother, Worth Alexander and a sister, Mrs. Melvin Jones, both of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
