V. B. CHEEK OF ST CHARLES DIES

Business Man There Many Years; Services This Wednesday

Virgil B. Cheek, who was engaged in the produce business at St. Charles, died at his home there Saturday, Feb. 18. He was 76 years of age.

Mr. Cheek was a life-long resident of the St Charles community. He was born there July 22, 1884, a son of George H. and Ellen Jane Cheek.

Mr. Cheek was married Oct. 4, 1915 to Hazel Hellin, who survives him.

He was a member of the St. Charles Christian church, and was a member of the Masonic lodge, in which he was a past master of the St. Charles lodge and a district lecturer.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the St. Charles Christian church, conducted by the Rev. James Farrell. Burial was to be made in the St. Charles cemetery.
