BENJAMIN CHAPMAN DIED WEDNESDAY

Graveside services will be held in the Winterset cemetery this Friday at 10 a.m. for Benjamin F. Chapman, whose death occurred this Wednesday morning, July 14 at his farm home in Lincoln township.

Mr. Chapman was 79 years of age. Death was attributed to a heart condition.

Mr. Chapman came to Madison county in 1949. He had worked as a garage mechanic, and engaged in farming. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The Rev. Charles Updike, pastor of the Winterset Foursquare church, will conduct the graveside service. The body is at the Collins Funeral home.
