Services for Glen Elsworth Campbell, 79, Macksburg, who died Feb. 10 at the Madison County Hospital, were held Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Macksburg Methodist Church with the Rev. Stanley Ganzel officiating. Burial was at the Moon Cemetery at Macksburg.
Born in Madison County March 7, 1905, he was the son of David and Clara Romine Campbell. On Oct. 14, 1925, he was married in Winterset to Pauline Klos.
Mr. Campbell was a retired farmer and also worked at the Watts-Soll Funeral Home. He lived in the area most of his life and was a member of the Macksburg Methodist Church and the Lorimor Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Minne Lehmer of Orleans, Neb., Doris Cooper of Arroyo Grande, Calif., and Carol Jacobs of Winterset; brothers, Lester of Creston and L. M. of Jamestown, N.D.; a sister, Lena Laughlin of Creston; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, grandson, two brothers and two sisters.
