Funeral services for Marvin J. Camp, 92, were held Fri. Sept. 27 at Deer Creek Chapel Church in rural Winterset with the Rev. David Kiser officiating. Mr. Camp died September 24 at Winterset Care Center South.

A Madison County resident for most of his life, he was born May 23, 1899 to Lemuel Jefferson and Nancy Jane (O'Brian) Camp in Clarke County and married Edith Travis October 2, 1929 in Indianola. He was a retired farm machinery mechanic, having been employed by C. F. Martens and Sons in Martensdale and was a member of Madison Chapel Disciple of Christ Church.

Marvin Jeremiah Camp was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, a daughter, four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Marvin "Jerry" and David, both of Cedar Rapids, and Jack of Glen Allen, Mo.; four daughters, Nadine York of Norwalk, Nellie Jane Mitchell of Ft. Collins, Colo., Sharon Sheumaker of Des Moines and Reva Batts of Longview, Texas; three step-children; 14 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Union Cemetery in Clarke County. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
