Richard Dean Bush, Winterset

Richard Dean Bush, 53, of Winterset died of heart failure Monday, April 13, 1998 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset with Pastor Jon Gaul officiating. Burial will be in Chase-McDonald Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday), at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.

Richard Bush was born Sept. 3, 1944 in Madison County to F. Thomas and Dorothy (Hope) Bush. He worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 234.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother-in-law, Melvin McDonald.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Charles and Dorothy (Hope) Knight of Winterset; three children, Stephen Troy Bush, Charlotte Ann Speer (husband) Craig) and Jacki Jaynne White (husband Stacy) all of Winterset; one brother, Duane Bush (wife Marilyn) of Winterset; one sister, Charlene Chandler (husband Stephen) also of Winterset; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association.
