Funeral services for Denzel Bonney, 71, were held this Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro.
Mr. Bonney died Sunday, March 17 at Loveland, Colorado where he resided in recent years.
A son of Fred and Rose Foreman Bonney, he was born at Truro on November 9, 1902. He was married to Lois Patterson on January 13, 1938.
Mr. Bonney was a carpenter and worked for Mongomery Ward, retiring in 1973.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Ronnie of Longmont, Colorado; a brother, Floyd Bonney of Commerce City, Colorado; two grandchildren; and the following half-brothers and sisters:
Rev. Larry Sawhill of Arcadia, Iowa; Richard Diemer of Neola, Iowa; Ed Diemer of Des Moines; Zelpha Sparks of St. Charles; Zona Marchael of Des Moines; and Edna Floyd of Big Springs, Nebraska.
Burial was in Hartman cemetery near Truro.
