Lulu Vada Bolin, a resident of Madison county for nearly a century, died Monday, September 3, 1973 at the Villa West Care Center in Winterset where she was a resident. She was 94 years of age.
Mrs. Bolin was born April 30, 1879 in Peru, Iowa, the daughter of Eli and Emma Stevens. She was married November 2, 1902 to George Bolin.
A member of the Ladies Aid Society of Peru, Mrs. Bolin was affiliated with the Peru Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Bolin are two daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Mona) Quinn of Pompano, Florida and Mrs. Melvin (Evelyn) Price of Junction, Utah, 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bolin was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 4 sisters, 4 brothers and 1 grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September at 1:30 p.m. from the Peru Methodist Church, with burial at the King Cemetery, Peru. Rev. Richard Hempenius of Truro officiated.
