Clara Eveline Ziemann died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1980, at her home near Van Meter at the age of 85. She was a lifelong resident of Jefferson Township in Madison Cunty.
Born on April 22, 1895, near Van Meter, she was the daughter of Charles and Henrietta Bernau Wishmier. She was united in marriage to Otto Ziemann on Jan. 26, 1916, and her husband preceded her in death.
She is survived by two children, Pauline Klindt, of Morning Sun and Don Ziemann of Van Meter; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, William, Otto, Henry and Julius; three sisters, Millie Clausen, Kate Jungman and Deona Marquardt; and a granddaughter, Donella Ziemann.
Funeral services were held Nov. 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church at Van Meter with the Rev. E. A. Breiholz officiating. Burial was at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
