Mildred Benjamin Dies In L. A.

Mrs. Mildred Benjamin died January 26, 1981 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 95.

Born in Chapman, Nebraska on Feb. 23, 1885, she was the daughter of Josiah Easter and Emma Ford Easter, early settlers of Madison County.

She was married to David Benjamin in the Methodist Parsonage in Winterset, Iowa. In 1932, she moved to Los Angeles, where she made the Angeles Temple her church home for the rest of her life.

Mrs. Benjamin's husband preceded her in death in 1963.

She is survived by three children, Joseph Benjamin of Winterset, Esther Burgoyne of Los Angeles, and Eleanor Hough of Milwaukee, Wisc.; one sister, Oliver Dodson of Vero Beach, Fla.; and one brother, William F. Easter of Winterset; eight grandchildren; Sharon Hann, Urbandale, Diane Hamilton, Des Moines; Eric Benjamin, Auburn, Neb.; Charles Benjamin, Winterset; Becky Stottlemire, Bossier City, La.; Ron Hilburn, Seattle, Wash.; Bob Hilburn, St. Louis, Mo.; Emily Bricken, Amherst, Mass.; and 11 great grandchildren.

She was buried Jan. 30 at the Valhalla Cemetery in Burbank.
