LORRAINE BELL DIED SUNDAY

Death Occurs at Memorial Hospital at Age of 69 Years

Mrs. Howard Bell of Winterset died Sunday May 26, at Memorial hospital here. She was 69 years of age.

Mrs. Bell was the former Lorraine M. Evans, daughter of John and Hattie Ann Davis Evans. She was born in Scott township July 23, 1898. With the exception of 10 years in Cass and Marshall counties her life was spent in this community.

She was married here April 18, 1920, to Howard O. Bell, who survives her.

Mrs. Bell was a member of the First Christian church in Winterset and of the American Legion auxiliary at Macksburg.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a brother, H. L. Evans of Macksburg; a half-brother, Charles Evans of Des Moines; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Palmer and Mrs. Ethel Givan of Des Moines and Mrs. Elizabeth Pinckney of Macksburg; and her step-mother, Mrs. Bertha Evans of Winterset. Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church here. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery at Anita.
