MRS. THOMAS BEDWELL DIES IN DES MOINES

Mrs. Thomas Bedwell, a well-known Winterset resident for many years, died Saturday July 11 at her home in Des Moines. She was 68 years of age.

Mrs. Bedwell was the former Helen Lenora Benson, daughter of Samuel L. and Mary Martino Benson. She was born in Winterset on Jan. 20, 1896. Her early life was spent in this community, but she had lived 24 years in Des Moines, where she was employed as a cook and manager of a cafeteria.

She was married at Winterset on May 28, 1913 to Thomas L. Bedwell, who survives her.

Her religious membership was with the Vine Street Gospel chapel in Des Moines. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Osborn of Earlham and Mrs. Joan Collins of Los Angeles, Claif.; three sons, Gerald, Paul and Blair Bedwell, all of Des Moines; 22 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Wheaton.
