Darlene H. Bartholomew, 79, of Stevensville, Mont., died Sept. 20, 2002, of complications of Parkinson's disease at Discovery Care Center in Hamilton, Mont.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with Father Joe Kelbel of Dallas, Ore., officiating. Burial was at Ebenezer Cemetery, Truro.

Darlene Bartholomew was born June 18, 1923, in Winterset to Thomas Jefferson and Vanatta Ruth (Gordon) Grimes. A graduate of Truro High School, she was united in marriage to Clark Robert Bartholomew on Oct. 2, 1944, in New York City. Darlene had resided in Puyallup, Wash., for 28 years prior to moving to Montana four years ago. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stevensville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son and a sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Chyrl R. Wagar (husband Brian) of Stevensville, Mont., and Micky K. Osburn (husband) Steve) of Neodesha, Kan., and four grandchildren.
