BILL BAKER DIED HERE SATURDAY

Was Long-Time Employee of Madison County Road Department

Bill Baker, a life-long resident of the Winterset community died Saturday, June 30, at Memorial Hospital in Winterset. He was 61 years of age.

Mr. Baker had been an employee of the Madison county road maintenance department for many years.

Near surviving relatives include his wife, the former Luneta Addy of Winterset; and a son, Lieut. Jack Baker of the u.S. Marines, now stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Burial was made Monday in the North McDonald cemetery, with graveside services in charge of the Rev. Robert Owens, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset.
