FUNERAL THURSDAY FOR SOFIE ANDERSEN

Mrs. Sofie Andersen of Winterset died Sunday, June 3, at Denver, Colo., where she had been living recently. She was 75 years of age.

Mrs. Andersen was born at Rismark, Denmark, on Sept. 16, 1886, a daughter of Jens and Maren Andersen Christensen. She came to this country in early life, and had lived 44 years in Madison county.

She was married in Audubon couhty in 1903 to Nels Andersen. His death occurred in 1942. One son also preceded her in death.

Surviving are four children, Mrs. Anna Taylor of Denver, Ted Andersen of St. Charles, Mrs. Clara Brittain and Mrs. Elna Fitzgerald of Winterset. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two brothers, Otto and Theodore Christensen of Rismark, Denmark.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home, with burial in the St. Charles cemetery.
