Darrell Dean Douglas

EARLHAM-A funeral for Darrell Dean Douglas, 56, of Earlham was held Nov. 11, 1991 at the Church of Christ here. Mr. Douglas died of cancer at his home on Nov. 8. Burial was in the Earlham Cemetery.

The son of Ancil and Sadie Janes Douglas, he was born at Truro on Dec. 2, 1934. He married Fern Lorraine Allsup on Dec. 12, 1952. He was employed by Earl Thomas Trucking for 21 years, and also by the E. E. Sergeant and Martin Marietta quarries. He had worked for Iowa Spring Manufacturing at Adel for the past two years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by an infant son, Ronnie Russell.

Survivors include his wife, Fern; a son, Darrell of DeSoto; a daughter, Darla Douglas of Des Moines; three sisters, Arlene Holman of Nikiski, Alaska, Floy Hallway of Urbandale and Jean Clopton of Winterset; three brothers, Verlin and Larry, both of Des Moines, and Marvin of Hartford; and eight grandchildren.
