Mrs. Nora Jensen, DeSoto

Services for Nora Jensen, 89, DeSoto who died Sunday, March 8, were held Tuesday, March 10 at the DeSoto United Methodist Church. Burial was at the Fairview Cemetery near DeSoto.

Born in Stuart May 29, 1897, she was the daughter of John and Christina Armstrong. She was married to Herman Jensen on Feb. 2, 1916 at Earlham. She lived in DeSoto since 1931 and in Madison County from 1908 to 1931.

Mrs. Jensen was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Survivors include daughters, Margaret Bell and Maxine Gillihan, both of Des Moines, Virginia Albert of Van Meter, and Ruby Bennett of Winterset; sons, Robert of Winterset and John of DeSoto; a sister, Lucille Lewis of Earlham; 13 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, four brothers and a great-grandson.
