William "Bill" Ezra Evison, 79, of Truro, died May 13, 1996 at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola. Funeral services will be Friday May 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lorimor Baptist Church. Pastor Larry Smith will officiate the services and burial will be at the Union Cemetery in Clarke County.
He was born in Jamison on April 24, 1917 to Ezra Thomas and Mary May (Kirby) Evison. He had attended Madison County Country Schools. He married Margaret Jane Kirk on Nov. 18, 1936 in Winterset. He was a farmer and was a lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a member of the Evening Star Masonic Lodge #43 in Winterset; N.F.O. since the late 1950s; Truro Lions Club; Hawkeye Gasoline Engine Association; and had attended Madison Chapel Church and Lorimor Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and one brother.
Surviving relatives include his wife; two sons, Rex Evison and wife Mary Ann of Murray, and Carol Evison and wife DeeDee of Des Moines; one daughter, Connie Maw and husband James of Winterset; one sister, Merle McMichael of Truro; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
