Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 12, at First United Methodist Church for Karl W. Heimberger of Winterset. Mr. Heimberger died at Madison County Memorial Hospital on Dec. 9 at the age of 85.

Born in Rolla, Missouri on Feb. 2, 1896, he was the son of Louis and Johanna Seele Heimberger. He moved to Winterset 10 years ago from Branson, Mo.

On Nov. 16, 1921 he married Helen E. Myers in Dexter, Ia. Mrs. Heimberger died in 1960.

Mr. Heimberger was a veteran, serving in W. W. I. He was a farmer by occupation, retiring in 1960.

He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., Mt. Tabor Lodge at Dexter, and a alumnus of Missouri School of Mines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Otto and Harry; and a sister, Elizabeth.

Surviving are a son, Walter of Dexter; a sister, Mrs. Irene Schrenk of Rolla, Mo.; 4 sister-in-laws, Mrs. Lewis Jolley of Adel, Mrs. Frank Husted of Winterset, Mrs. Paul Wolf of Mason City, and Mrs. Harry Heimberger of Rolla, Mo.; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Military graveside services were held at Dexter Cemetery.
