Otto L. Hendricks, Winterset

Services for Otto L. Hendricks, 76, rural Winterset, who died Aug. 30 at his residence, were held Tuesday, Sept. 3 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Gray Worsham officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Madison County Sept. 21, 1908, he was the son of William E. and Edna Adeline Brown Hendricks. He retired in 1975 as a superintendent with the Madison County secondary roads department. He had worked with the department for 45 years.

A lifetime resident, he was a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset. In September of 1920, he married Lois Grace Wood in Adel.

Survivors include daughters,Vernita Gail Haines, rural Winterset, and Sara Jean Aldrich of Waukee; a brother, Harold Hendricks of Primghar; a sister, Mrs. John (Alma) Bruett of Des Moines; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
